CLINICAL SUPERVISION
I provide clinical licensure supervision for social workers pursuing advanced clinical licensure in AL and NC. Supervision is designed to support the development of clinical knowledge, skills, ethical practices, and professional confidence while helping supervisees navigate the licensure process.
Clinical supervision is available for LMSW social workers in Alabama and LCSW-A social workers in North Carolina.
Experience & Qualifications
The experiences and milestones below reflect the professional foundation I bring to clinical supervision, grounded in years of clinical practice, social work education, and ongoing professional development focused on sharpening my supervision skills.
-
Began providing supervision by serving as a field instructor for the MSW Program at The University of Alabama. Later that year, began providing supervision and professional guidance to a colleague with a BSW who was preparing for the LMSW examination in AL.
-
Obtained supervisor credentialing through the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners (ABSW), further formalizing my role in supporting social workers pursuing professional licensure.
-
Joined The University of Alabama’s BSW Program as an adjunct faculty member, providing instruction and mentorship to undergraduate social work students.
-
Joined the School of Social Work as an Assistant Professor at East Carolina University, teaching both BSW and MSW students while also supervising BSW & MSW students completing their field placements.
-
Began partnering with community organizations to provide LCSW-A supervision in areas of Eastern NC where agencies have limited access to clinical social work licensure supervision support, helping emerging clinicians advance toward licensure and communities to further meet the needs of their clients.

Supervision Model
Clinical supervision is an opportunity to learn, reflect, ask questions, and grow as clinicians. I approach supervision from a collaborative, supportive, and developmental perspective, and I strive to help supervisees strengthen their clinical skills, build confidence in their professional identity, and prepare for the next licensure exam.
My goal is not simply to help you meet licensure requirements, but to help you become a thoughtful, ethical, and confident clinician prepared for independent practice. I do so by drawing on eclectic and integrationist models of supervision, utilizing principles from Norcross & Halgin, 1997 and Stoltenberg & Delworth, 1987:
Ready to take your practice to the next level with supervision that meets you where you are?
Supervision Rates
Individual supervision rates reflect state-specific licensure requirements, the supervision market, and the individualized nature of the service. Agency-based supervision can be tailored to organizational needs, staffing structure, and budget.
