Who We Are

Lotus Counseling & Consulting, PLLC grew out of a personal story of resilience and a deep belief in the human capacity to grow through difficult circumstances. Having experienced pain and hardships throughout my life, I learned firsthand how meaningful it can be to have someone who believes in you, offers compassion in difficult seasons, and helps you hold onto hope for what comes next.

That belief is at the heart of this practice and is captured in our guiding philosophy:

Compassion for Today. Hope for Tomorrow.

We believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about helping people recognize their strengths, cultivate resilience, develop skills, and access the support they need to navigate life in ways that create greater meaning and hope.

Why Lotus?

White line drawing of a lotus flower with leaves, set against a muted green background with decorative sparkles on either side.

The lotus flower grows in muddy and murky waters, yet rises beautifully above the surface to bloom.

For us, the lotus flower represents the possibility of growth and the capacity to thrive despite messy beginnings and seasons in our lives. It reminds us that where you come from does not determine who you become.

We believe each person carries the capacity for resilience. Sometimes, that resilience simply needs the right environment, support, and encouragement to emerge.

For us, the lotus flower represents just that:

Even in the muddy waters and difficult conditions of life, a safe and supportive therapeutic environment can create space for healing and growth, allowing something meaningful and beautiful to take root and emerge

Compassion for Today. Hope for Tomorrow.

It’s more than a slogan - it’s a belief that compassion in our hardest moments can help us find the hope to imagine what’s possible beyond them.

Compassion for Today

Whether you feel stuck in the mud, just beginning to find your footing, or already seeing glimpses of the person you want to be, you are welcome here.

At Lotus Counseling & Consulting, we believe you deserve a therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, respect, curiosity, and judgment-free support. We will not ask you to pretend the difficult parts of your story do not exist. Instead, we create a space to acknowledge them, understand them, and work through them together.

Compassion means being willing to sit with you in the mud without defining you by it or fearing the mess.

Hope for tomorrow is not a promise that life will be free of pain or obstacles, nor is it asking you to simply “look on the bright side.”

At Lotus Counseling & Consulting, we believe you deserve to have someone hold hope for your tomorrow when you cannot hold it for yourself just yet. We will walk alongside to help you imagine possibilities beyond your circumstances and nurture a future that feels meaningful, purposeful, and authentically yours.

Hope for tomorrow means believing that even when you are still in the mud, you can rise toward the sun.

Hope for Tomorrow
